The Florida Panthers are gearing up for what promises to be an electrifying encounter against their state rivals, the Tampa Bay Lightning. With both teams displaying formidable performances in their recent outings, fans are eagerly anticipating this matchup.

In their last game on April 21st, the Panthers showcased a balanced attack and a solid defense against the Lightning. Despite being out-hit 60 to 56, they managed to secure a narrow victory with a final score of 3-2. The Panthers' goaltending was particularly impressive; they saved all but two of the 19 shots faced, reflecting a save percentage that rounded up to an impeccable 100 percent. This defensive resilience could be pivotal in their upcoming game.

The offense also clicked well for FLA during that match. They took more shots than TB with a total of 28 attempts and converted three into goals – one of which was crucially scored on powerplay out of three opportunities. The team's shooting accuracy stood at around 11 percent and will need to maintain or improve this efficiency if they hope to repeat their success.

Looking at another recent performance by FLA against Toronto Maple Leafs on April 16th, we saw an explosive second period where the Panthers scored four times en route to a commanding victory with five goals overall from just as many different players – showcasing depth in scoring that can overwhelm any opposition.

However, it's not just about offense; FLA has been equally strong defensively as evidenced by their game against Buffalo Sabres on April 13th where they allowed only two goals across regulation and overtime before clinching it in extra time.

As for TB's recent form, despite losing narrowly to FLA previously, they've shown tenacity throughout games. Their powerplay goal conversion rate stands out particularly – scoring once from two opportunities last time these teams met – but it’s worth noting that overall faceoff wins have been less than stellar at only around half successful attempts (46 percent).

With these insights into both teams’ performances leading up to this clash at Amalie Arena on April 27th at 5:00 PM Eastern Time (ET), fans can expect another close contest between these Sunshine State adversaries.

For those who want to catch every moment live can tune into TBS or truTV among other networks broadcasting the event such as TVAS, SNE, SNW and SNP for what is shaping up as another chapter in this heated rivalry between Florida Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning.
