From the opening period, the Florida Panthers established their presence on the ice with a goal that set the tone for what was to become an intense match. The team's offensive efforts were relentless as they fired off 31 shots throughout the game, converting five into goals. The scoring was spread across three periods with one goal in the first and two goals each in subsequent periods.

The Panthers' even-strength play was particularly effective as all five goals came during such situations from their 28 even-strength shots. Their shooting accuracy was impressive, boasting a shooting percentage of 16 percent which underscored their offensive efficiency. Furthermore, an empty net goal solidified their lead late in the game.

Defensively, Florida's goaltender played a pivotal role by saving all but three of Tampa Bay's attempts on goal for an impeccable save percentage rounding to 100 percent over his time on ice. This performance between the pipes helped neutralize Tampa Bay's offense despite facing 29 shots throughout regulation time.

The physicality on display from both teams added another layer to this encounter; however, it was clear that discipline played a key role as well. The Panthers committed five penalties leading to ten penalty minutes but managed to prevent any damage by not allowing any powerplay goals against them out of four opportunities for Tampa Bay.

On special teams play though neither side could capitalize; both teams had powerplay opportunities yet failed to convert them into points on board – highlighting strong defensive plays during these critical moments.

Tampa Bay Lightning did not go down without resistance; they delivered more hits than their opponents and won more faceoffs too – demonstrating competitive spirit until final horn sounded off at Amalie Arena packed with fans numbering up to its full capacity at 19,092 attendees who witnessed this spectacle unfold live before them.

Looking ahead after this victory over local rivals Lightning - next up for Florida Panthers is another showdown scheduled at Amalie Arena against same opposition where fans can catch action live via broadcast networks TBS or truTV among others or stream online through Max starting at 5:00 PM Eastern Time on April 27th.
