Despite not scoring in the third period, their earlier efforts were enough to secure the win. The team's shooting accuracy was impressive, with a shooting percentage of 17 percent from 23 shots on goal. Aleksander Barkov and Sam Reinhart were standout performers for Florida, earning them star player recognitions for their contributions to this victory.

Defensively, the Panthers were equally robust; they blocked 13 shots and recorded 32 hits throughout the game. Their goaltender played an instrumental role by saving all but three of the Oilers' attempts at goal from their total of 35 shots. This defensive solidity was crucial in maintaining their lead despite not adding to it in the final period.

On special teams play, both sides struggled to capitalize on powerplay opportunities; however, it was noteworthy that Florida managed to keep its net safe during these moments thanks to disciplined play and effective penalty killing.

The Oilers put up a strong fight as well. They increased their intensity as evidenced by out-hitting Florida with 37 hits and blocking two more shots than Florida did. However, despite managing more shots on goal than Florida (35), they found themselves slightly less efficient at converting these opportunities into scores.
