Throughout the game, the Panthers managed to secure only one goal against their opponents. This lone goal came during the first period and was achieved through even strength play. Despite their efforts, which included 33 shots on goal and maintaining possession for significant periods, they were unable to capitalize further. The team's powerplay opportunities amounted to four chances but failed to convert any into goals despite taking 11 shots during these moments.

Defensively, the Panthers were challenged as they faced a barrage of attacks from the Oilers. The goaltending statistics reveal that out of 35 shots faced by Florida's goalie, 27 were saved but this effort was not enough to stem the tide of goals scored by Edmonton. On special teams play, while shorthanded eleven times they managed ten saves but still conceded one goal.

On offense and defense alike, faceoffs were nearly evenly matched with Florida winning 29 out of 62 attempts. However, their defensive efforts saw them blocking only sixteen shots compared to Edmonton's twenty-three blocks.

The Oilers demonstrated strong offensive prowess throughout all three periods scoring three goals in both first and second periods followed by two more in third period without reply from Florida after their initial goal. Connor McDavid stood out among his teammates being named as one of the stars of this matchup alongside Dylan Holloway and Mattias Janmark who also played pivotal roles in securing this win for Edmonton.
