Can the Los Angeles Kings Dominate Columbus at Crypto.com Arena?

As the Los Angeles Kings prepare to host the Columbus Blue Jackets at Crypto.com Arena, fans are buzzing with anticipation. The Kings have been showing a strong performance on their home ice, and with their upcoming game scheduled for February 21st, all eyes are on whether they can continue their winning streak.

Looking back at the Kings' recent games, there's a pattern of success that can't be ignored. On December 24th against the Calgary Flames, they secured a solid 5-3 victory. Their offense was firing on all cylinders as they peppered the Flames with 34 shots and capitalized five times. The team's shooting percentage stood out at an impressive 15 percent while maintaining an even strength throughout the game.

The powerplay opportunities were limited for both teams in that matchup; however, it was evident that Los Angeles excelled during even-strength play where they scored five goals compared to just one by Calgary. This indicates a well-rounded team performance rather than reliance on special teams to secure wins.

In contrast, when facing off against Seattle Kraken earlier on December 21st, despite outshooting them with a staggering 43 shots to Seattle's 30, LA only managed one goal which came shorthanded. It was an evening where goaltending played a pivotal role as Seattle's netminder turned away an incredible number of shots leading to a narrow defeat for LA by two goals to one.

However, it wasn't all doom and gloom for LA in this encounter; their faceoff win percentage was dominant at 62 percent which allowed them control over puck possession – something that will be crucial against Columbus if they wish to dictate play.

When analyzing these past performances alongside Columbus Blue Jackets' own form and style of play – which tends towards physicality and grit – it becomes clear that Los Angeles needs to leverage its high shooting percentage and faceoff prowess while being mindful of defensive responsibilities especially during shorthanded situations.

The upcoming game promises excitement as both teams bring contrasting styles onto the ice. With LA’s recent home record showing resilience and offensive firepower coupled with strategic gameplay during even-strength periods - fans should expect nothing less than another thrilling display from their beloved Kings.

Mark your calendars for February 21st when Los Angeles Kings take on Columbus Blue Jackets at Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles. Puck drop is set for February 20th at 7:30 PM local time (PST). Fans can catch every moment live nationally via ESPN+ or locally through BSW channel number 692 or BSOH channel number 660 if cheering from afar in Ohio.
