Can the Los Angeles Kings Dominate the Ottawa Senators at Crypto.com Arena?

As the Los Angeles Kings gear up to face the Ottawa Senators at Crypto.com Arena, fans are buzzing with anticipation. The Kings have been on a rollercoaster ride of performances lately, but there's reason to believe that they could dominate their upcoming game against the Senators.

Looking back at their recent match on February 25th against the Anaheim Ducks, it was a nail-biter that went into a shootout. The Kings emerged victorious with a 3-2 win. Their powerplay was effective, scoring twice out of four opportunities and boasting an impressive 83 percent faceoff win percentage during powerplays. This special teams prowess could be crucial in overcoming the Senators.

However, not all is rosy for LA. In their game against Nashville Predators on February 23rd, they suffered a loss despite having more shots on goal than their opponents. They were outscored by three goals in even-strength play and had a minus-22 plus-minus rating overall – an area they'll need to tighten up.

The most promising sign comes from their encounter with Columbus Blue Jackets on February 21st where LA showcased offensive firepower and solid defense leading to a convincing 5-1 victory. Their shooting percentage stood at an impressive 14 percent and goaltending was stellar with a save percentage rounding up to perfect.

The Senators are no pushovers though; they will come prepared and looking for opportunities to exploit any weaknesses in LA's game plan. It will be essential for the Kings' defensemen and goalie to stay vigilant throughout all periods of play.

With these past games as indicators, it seems likely that if Los Angeles can maintain strong special teams play and tighten up defensively during even-strength situations, they should control this game's tempo against Ottawa.

Fans eager to see if Los Angeles can continue its winning ways should mark their calendars for March 8th when puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 PM local time (10:30 PM Eastern Time). The action will unfold live from Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles – home ice advantage might just be what tilts this matchup in favor of LA. For those who prefer watching from home or elsewhere, you can catch every moment live through broadcast networks ESPN+ online or BSW on TV – don't miss what promises to be an exciting clash!
