First Period


The game began with both teams showcasing their defensive prowess. The Kings managed to break through first, scoring a goal in this period. Kevin Fiala was instrumental in this early lead, contributing significantly to his team's offensive efforts.


Second Period


As the second period unfolded, the Ducks responded fiercely by netting two goals. Despite strong performances from players like Quinton Byfield and Trevor Moore, who each provided assists for L.A., Anaheim's Leo Carlsson and Jackson LaCombe turned up their game to level and then surpass their opponents.

Third Period


In an intense third period, both teams scored twice more. Joel Edmundson found his mark for L.A., adding pressure on Anaheim's defense. However, despite Darcy Kuemper's commendable effort of saving 27 shots throughout regulation time, he couldn't prevent all of Anaheim’s attempts from finding their target.


Overtime and Shootout


With neither team able to secure victory during overtime—despite two shots on goal by L.A.—the match proceeded into a shootout where Anaheim emerged victorious by scoring twice against Kuemper’s single save attempt.
