Clash at Xcel Energy Center: Minnesota Wild Face Off Against New Jersey Devils

Minnesota Wild fans are gearing up for an exciting matchup as their team is set to take on the New Jersey Devils at the Xcel Energy Center. The venue, known for its vibrant atmosphere and passionate fanbase, could play a significant role in boosting the Wild's performance.

The Minnesota Wild have had a challenging stretch in their recent games. In their last encounter against the Vegas Golden Knights, despite a strong physical presence with 37 hits, they were outscored significantly, managing only one goal from 28 shots while conceding five. This was a game where they struggled both offensively and defensively at even strength.

Their subsequent game against the Dallas Stars saw an improvement in shot volume with 39 attempts but still resulted in a loss with only one goal finding the back of the net. The goaltending was better compared to the previous game, saving 33 out of 36 shots; however, it wasn't enough to secure victory.

In their most recent away game versus Arizona Coyotes, there was another slight uptick in performance with two goals scored from 35 shots and goaltending that saved 33 out of 36 shots. Despite this effort and maintaining an even plus-minus rating overall, it wasn't sufficient to avoid defeat.

The trend shows that while Minnesota has been able to generate more shots on goal over these games, converting these opportunities into points remains an issue. Additionally, while hits have been high indicating physicality in play style, this has not translated into controlling games or reducing opponents' scoring chances effectively.

As they prepare for their upcoming home game against New Jersey Devils at Xcel Energy Center on February 12th at 7 PM CT time zone (01:00 UTC), fans can hope that home-ice advantage will provide the necessary boost for Minnesota Wild to turn around this losing streak. With improvements needed both offensively and defensively based on past performances; attention will be focused on how well they can capitalize on scoring opportunities while tightening up their defense against a competitive Devils side.

Fans can catch all the action live through various broadcast networks including ESPN+ online or BSN/BSWI channels depending on location.
