In their last outing against the Arizona Coyotes, Minnesota displayed resilience and tactical prowess. The team's shooting percentage was 7 percent with 43 shots on goal, which translated into three goals and ultimately secured them a win. Their power play opportunities were capitalized once out of five chances, demonstrating room for improvement in special teams.

The game prior saw an even more dominant performance from the Wild against the Vegas Golden Knights. With an impressive shooting percentage of 17 percent from 29 shots leading to five goals, they showed their offensive capabilities are not to be underestimated. Their faceoff win percentage stood at 58 percent – an area that could give them control over the game's pace against Carolina.

Against Pittsburgh Penguins earlier in February, Minnesota again came out on top with a solid defensive display backed by goaltending that saved all but two of 36 shots faced. While their power play scored once in six opportunities and they won only 46 percent of faceoffs, it was enough for victory.

The upcoming match is set against this backdrop of winning momentum for Minnesota Wild who will look to exploit home advantage and continue their positive trend in front of loyal fans.

Fans can catch this exciting matchup scheduled for February 28th at 01:00 AM UTC at Xcel Energy Center or tune into ESPN+ online or BSNX channel 668-1 locally to support their team as they aim to tame the Hurricanes on home ice.
