The game at Mullett Arena saw an impressive performance from the Minnesota Wild, who managed to turn a goalless first period into a commanding lead by the end of the third. The team's offensive efforts were particularly notable in that final period where they scored four times, showcasing their ability to capitalize on opportunities and maintain pressure on their opponents.

The Wild's shooting accuracy was remarkable with an 18 percent shooting percentage from their total of 28 shots. Their powerplay unit contributed one goal out of two opportunities, demonstrating efficiency when they had the man advantage. Even strength play was where Minnesota truly shone, netting four goals and maintaining a slight edge in faceoff win percentage at 52 percent over Arizona's 48 percent.

Defensively, Minnesota also stood strong with goaltending that saved all but two shots for a perfect save percentage during even-strength play. They blocked a total of 24 shots throughout the game and delivered solid hits numbering at 29.

On the other side of the ice, despite being outplayed overall, Arizona Coyotes showed resilience by scoring twice in the third period and blocking 15 shots themselves. Their powerplay managed one goal from three chances but struggled with only a 40 percent success rate on powerplay faceoffs won.
