The game at T-Mobile Arena saw an aggressive start from both sides. The Wild struggled to find their rhythm in the first period, failing to score despite several attempts on goal. However, they managed to regroup and respond in the second period with a powerplay goal that showcased their ability to capitalize on opportunities. Their powerplay unit converted one out of three chances, demonstrating a solid execution rate when given an advantage on ice.

Despite this effort, it was not enough to counteract the offensive prowess displayed by the Golden Knights. The home team's shooting accuracy was remarkable; they scored seven goals from just thirty shots, reflecting an impressive shooting percentage of twenty-three percent compared to seven percent for Minnesota.

The Wild's goaltender faced a barrage of shots throughout all three periods and ended up conceding seven goals against thirty shots. On defense, Minnesota blocked fourteen shots and delivered twenty-one hits but still ended up with a minus-nineteen plus-minus rating overall.

On offense, Minnesota took twenty-seven shots at goal but only managed two successful strikes past Vegas' goalie who made twenty-five saves for his team. In faceoff circles, both teams were nearly even with forty-four each; however, Vegas edged out slightly winning fifty-two percent compared to forty-eight percent by Minnesota.
