First Period


The opening period saw both teams come out strong, but it was the Utah Mammoth who took control early on. The visitors scored three goals, setting a challenging pace for the Wild to match. Despite their efforts, Minnesota managed only one goal in response during this period.


Second Period


In the second period, both teams tightened their defenses significantly. The Wild found some momentum and managed to net another goal thanks to Marcus Johansson's sharp playmaking skills; however, they couldn't capitalize further despite having four powerplay opportunities throughout the game.

Third Period


As they entered the final period trailing by two goals, Minnesota struggled to regain control of the ice. The Mammoth capitalized on this and added three more goals to their tally before time ran out for Minnesota's comeback hopes.


Throughout this matchup, Kirill Kaprizov stood out with his relentless pursuit of scoring opportunities and an assist that contributed significantly during powerplays. Meanwhile, Filip Gustavsson made 35 saves but faced relentless pressure from Utah’s offense.
