Second Period


Despite their initial momentum, both teams were unable to score in a tightly contested second period. The Wild maintained their defensive posture, with Jonas Brodin and Jared Spurgeon effectively shutting down several attempts by Buffalo Sabres' forwards. The Sabres struggled to break through Minnesota's defense but remained persistent.


Third Period

Overtime and Shootout


With neither team scoring during overtime, it all came down to a shootout where Buffalo emerged victorious by scoring 3 goals against Minnesota’s 2. Despite Gustavsson’s efforts between the pipes and Kaprizov’s attempt during shootouts, it wasn't enough to secure victory for Minnesota.
