Third Period

Despite being outshot by Edmonton with 33 shots against their own 24, Wallstedt remained impenetrable between the posts. His efforts were pivotal in securing this narrow victory for Minnesota.

The game-changing plays Minnesota Wild vs Edmonton Oilers were largely defined by Wallstedt’s exceptional goaltending and Brodin’s decisive first-period goal. The Oilers' inability to capitalize on powerplay opportunities further contributed to their downfall as they went scoreless despite having three chances.
