First Period

The opening period saw both teams testing each other's defenses. The Wild managed to break through first, with Kirill Kaprizov finding the back of the net. This early goal set the tone for Minnesota's aggressive play throughout the game.

Second Period

In the second period, Minnesota continued their offensive push. Jared Spurgeon added another goal to extend their lead while maintaining solid defensive plays that kept Boston scoreless during this segment. The Wild's penalty kill was particularly effective, as they successfully neutralized all powerplay opportunities for Boston.

Third Period

The final period was where Minnesota truly shined. With three more goals added to their tally, including a powerplay goal by Matt Boldy and an impressive assist from Joel Eriksson Ek, they left no room for a Bruins comeback. Despite two late goals from Boston in this period, it wasn't enough to close the gap created by Minnesota’s relentless attack.

Minnesota's goaltender Filip Gustavsson played a crucial role with 29 saves out of 31 shots faced, ensuring that any momentum gained by Boston was quickly stifled.
