Third Period

Overtime


As regulation ended with a tie score of 4-4 due to Buffalo’s late rally in the second period, overtime was needed to determine a winner. It was Quinn Hughes who emerged as Minnesota's hero by netting an overtime goal that secured victory for his team.


The final result was a hard-fought win for Minnesota at 5-4 over Buffalo after overtime play concluded.
