Will the Canadiens Glide Past the Flyers at Wells Fargo Center?

As the Montreal Canadiens prepare to face off against the Philadelphia Flyers at Wells Fargo Center, fans are eager to see if their team can continue their recent trend of success. The Canadiens have shown a mixed bag of results in their last few outings, but there's a glimmer of hope as they've demonstrated resilience and an ability to come out on top in close encounters.

In their most recent game against the New York Rangers, Montreal showcased a strong defensive performance with an impressive 100 percent penalty kill rate and managed to secure victory through a shootout. This win was backed by solid goaltending, with 45 saves contributing to a save percentage that remained perfect throughout the match.

However, consistency has been an issue for Montreal. In another recent game at Bell Centre against Buffalo Sabres, despite winning more than half of their faceoffs and blocking numerous shots, they suffered from penalties and struggled offensively – scoring only once on 33 shots. This lackluster offensive performance resulted in a loss where they conceded six goals.

On the brighter side, when visiting Dallas Stars earlier this month, Montreal's offense clicked into gear with an impressive shooting percentage of 22 percent from just 18 shots resulting in four goals. Their powerplay capitalized on opportunities while goaltending stood firm with another complete save rate.

The upcoming game will be challenging as Philadelphia Flyers will have home-ice advantage and will look to capitalize on any sign of weakness from Montreal. The Canadiens must tighten up defensively while finding ways to maintain offensive pressure if they wish to leave Wells Fargo Center with two points.

Fans can catch all the action live on January 11th; puck drop is scheduled for local time at Wells Fargo Center. The game will be broadcasted nationally via ESPN+ online platform and locally through NBCS-PH television network.
