The Montreal Canadiens, playing on home ice at the Bell Centre, delivered a decisive victory over the Arizona Coyotes. The Canadiens' record now stands at an impressive 4-0, while the Coyotes have fallen to 2-2. The final score reflected the Canadiens' dominance throughout the game: 4-2.

From the opening faceoff, it was clear that the Montreal team was in fine form. They outshot their opponents by a significant margin of 21 to 38 shots and were more accurate with a shooting percentage of 19 percent compared to just five percent for Arizona. The Canadiens also demonstrated superior puck control, winning 57 percent of faceoffs.

The first period set the tone for what would be a showcase of offensive skill from Montreal. They opened up scoring and maintained pressure throughout, leading into a second period where both teams found the back of the net once each.

Defensively, Montreal's goaltender was nearly impenetrable; saving all but two of Arizona's attempts for an impeccable save percentage rounding to one hundred percent across sixty minutes on ice. This performance included seven crucial saves during shorthanded situations which kept Arizona's powerplay opportunities fruitless.

In contrast, Arizona struggled defensively; their goaltender faced twenty shots and let three slip by before an empty-net goal sealed their fate in this matchup. Despite blocking more attempts than Montreal with twenty-eight blocked shots and delivering fewer hits (sixteen compared to twenty-two), they could not contain their opponent’s offensive surge.

The third period saw Montreal pull away definitively with two goals solidifying their lead and showcasing why they are one of hockey's most formidable teams this season. Their tenacity on offense was matched by robust defense as they took away any chance for an Arizona comeback.

Looking ahead, fans can catch the next game featuring the Montreal Canadiens as they visit Amerant Bank Arena to face off against Florida Panthers on March 1st at Sunrise. This match will be available for viewing through various broadcast networks including ESPN+ online and BSFL on television.
