Montreal Canadiens Set to Clash with Columbus Blue Jackets at Bell Centre

As the Montreal Canadiens prepare to host the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Bell Centre, fans are eager to see if their team can continue their recent performance trends. The Canadiens have shown a mixed bag of results in their past few games, but there are positive signs that they could carry into this upcoming contest.

In their last game against the Florida Panthers, despite a valiant effort that took them into a shootout, the Canadiens fell short with a score of 3-4. They managed to secure an even-strength shooting percentage of 10 percent and won 44 percent of faceoffs. Their penalty kill was effective, not allowing any goals on four opportunities and blocking an impressive total of 19 shots throughout the game.

Prior to that, Montreal celebrated victory over the Arizona Coyotes with a decisive 4-2 win. The team's shooting accuracy was remarkable at 19 percent for even-strength shots and they dominated faceoffs with a winning percentage of 57 percent. This level of play showcases what the Canadiens are capable of when they hit their stride.

However, consistency has been elusive as evidenced by their performance against New Jersey Devils where they lost by one goal (3-4). Despite scoring two goals in the second period and maintaining solid goaltending with a save percentage rounding up to 100 percent for even-strength shots, it wasn't enough for victory.

The upcoming game will be played on home ice which has proven advantageous for Montreal given their strong showing against Arizona at Bell Centre. Fans should look out for how well they manage faceoffs and capitalize on shooting opportunities while maintaining defensive solidity through blocked shots and effective penalty killing.

The match is scheduled for March 12th at Bell Centre in Montreal; puck drop is set for 7:00 PM local time (23:00 UTC). Fans can catch all the action live on ESPN+ online or BSOH TV network.
