Montreal Canadiens Set to Challenge Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena

As the Montreal Canadiens prepare to face off against the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena on March 25th, fans are eager to see if the Habs can maintain their recent performance on foreign ice. The Canadiens have shown a mixed bag of results in their past few games, with a shutout win against the Columbus Blue Jackets (3-0), a narrow loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs (2-3), and a defeat by the Carolina Hurricanes (1-4).

The victory over Columbus highlighted Montreal's defensive prowess, as they managed an impressive 41 saves and capitalized on powerplay opportunities. However, their game against Toronto exposed some weaknesses; despite winning more faceoffs and delivering more hits, they couldn't convert these advantages into goals.

Against Carolina, Montreal struggled with puck possession as reflected in their lower faceoff win percentage of 40 percent. Their goaltender faced an onslaught of shots but managed to save most; however, it wasn't enough to secure a win.

The upcoming game presents an opportunity for redemption as they take on Seattle. The Canadiens will need to focus on improving their even-strength play and capitalizing on powerplay chances while maintaining strong goaltending.

Fans can catch this exciting matchup live from Climate Pledge Arena or tune in via ESPN+ online or ROOT Sports NW for television coverage. The puck drops at 6:00 PM local time (9:00 PM EST) – don't miss it!
