Despite their valiant effort during regulation time which saw them outshoot Colorado 29 to 37 shots against goalies Sam Montembeault made an impressive total of 33 saves but ultimately couldn't secure a win for his team as they fell short during shootout where they managed only one goal against Colorado's two.
