Defensive Battle


Throughout regulation time, both teams displayed formidable defenses. The Canadiens were particularly effective in faceoffs, winning 54 percent of them and showcasing their prowess on ice control. However, they struggled offensively with only 15 shots on goal and no goals scored during regular play or overtime.


Montreal's goaltender was a standout performer, making an impressive total of 34 saves out of 35 shots faced. His efforts kept the game scoreless through three periods but ultimately couldn't prevent Toronto's decisive overtime goal.

Maple Leafs' Offensive Persistence


The Maple Leafs maintained offensive pressure throughout the match with a total of 35 shots on goal.
