The game at Rogers Place saw the Predators put up a valiant fight. Despite their efforts, they were only able to notch one goal against the Oilers' four. The Predators' lone goal came during the third period, marking their determination to stay in contention until the final buzzer. Their offense launched 29 shots on goal but was stymied by an impressive goaltending performance from Edmonton's netminder who made 28 saves throughout the game.

Nashville's defense was kept busy as well, delivering 31 hits and blocking 13 shots to try and contain Edmonton's attack. The team also showed dominance in faceoffs with a winning percentage of 58 percent but struggled with giveaways which totaled four for the night.

Special teams played a critical role in this matchup. While Nashville had three powerplay opportunities to capitalize on, they were unable to convert any into goals despite taking four shots during these chances. Their penalty kill faced three shorthanded situations and managed one save while conceding two goals.

The goaltending for Nashville showed resilience despite facing relentless pressure from Edmonton's forwards. With a total of 17 saves out of 20 shots during regular play and an additional empty-netter slipping past them, it was clear that every save counted in this tightly contested game.

Looking ahead after this tough loss on foreign ice, fans can catch their team back in action when they visit Canadian Tire Centre to take on Ottawa Senators scheduled for January 30th at Canadian Tire Centre.
