Will the Nashville Predators Tame the Blues at Enterprise Center?

As the Nashville Predators prepare to face off against the St. Louis Blues at Enterprise Center, fans are eager to see if their team can continue to build on their recent performances. The Predators have shown a mixed bag of results in their last few outings, with a narrow loss against Dallas Stars (2-3) and a solid victory over Philadelphia Flyers (4-2), but then stumbling with a defeat by Vancouver Canucks (2-5).

The game against Dallas highlighted Nashville's resilience as they managed to keep the game even until the third period before conceding three goals. Despite this setback, they were able to score twice in the second period and showcased strong goaltending with 31 saves.

Their triumph over Philadelphia was marked by an impressive offensive display where they scored four goals from 31 shots, reflecting a shooting percentage of thirteen percent. The Predators also demonstrated their ability to capitalize on shorthanded opportunities by scoring once under these circumstances.

However, consistency remains an issue for Nashville as seen in their encounter with Vancouver. While managing two goals from 28 shots and making thirty saves, they allowed five goals against them – highlighting potential defensive vulnerabilities that need addressing.

The upcoming clash will be no easy feat as both teams vie for dominance on ice. With faceoff win percentages hovering around forty-five percent in recent games, improving control during faceoffs could be crucial for Nashville's success.

Fans should expect an intense battle where every shot and save counts significantly towards either securing victory or facing defeat. As always, special teams' performance could tip the scales; thus powerplay efficiency and penalty killing will be areas under scrutiny.

Catch all the action live on February 17th at 22:00 UTC at Enterprise Center or tune into ESPN+ nationally or BSSO channel 646-1 for local coverage if you're cheering from afar.
