Can the New Jersey Devils Outskate the Boston Bruins at TD Garden?

As the New Jersey Devils gear up to face off against the Boston Bruins at TD Garden, fans are eager to see if their team can carry forward their recent momentum. The upcoming clash on January 15th is poised to be a pivotal moment in the Devils' season.

The Devils have shown a commendable performance in their past games, especially during their encounter with the Florida Panthers on January 13th. They secured a solid victory with a score of 4-1, demonstrating both offensive prowess and defensive solidity. Their shooting percentage stood out at an impressive 18 percent, and they were able to capitalize on even-strength situations by netting all four goals during regular play.

However, it wasn't just about scoring; NJ's goaltender was virtually impenetrable, saving all but one of the 36 shots faced – that's a perfect save percentage when considering even-strength play. This level of goaltending will be crucial when they meet BOS, who are known for their aggressive offense.

Despite these strengths, there are areas where NJ must be vigilant. Their powerplay opportunities didn't translate into goals against Florida Panthers and winning only 25 percent of faceoffs during powerplays could indicate an area that needs tightening up before facing BOS.

Looking back further to January 12th against Tampa Bay Lightning reveals some concerns as well. The game ended in an overtime loss for NJ despite them leading in shots with 30 compared to Tampa Bay's 20. A shooting percentage of only ten percent won't cut it against teams like BOS who can exploit any weakness.

Moreover, while NJ has been strong defensively at even strength as evidenced by blocking a total of 21 shots against Florida Panthers and having a plus-minus rating of +20 for that game, they need to maintain discipline and avoid unnecessary penalties which cost them valuable players on ice during previous games.

The last meeting between NJ and Boston Bruins will surely be fresh in both teams' memories – it was not just another game but one filled with intense competition where every move could tip the scales either way.

Devils fans should mark their calendars for this thrilling matchup scheduled for January 15th at TD Garden starting promptly at 6:00 PM (UTC). With national coverage available via ESPN+ online streaming service or local TV channels NESN channel number 628 or MSGSN channel number 635 depending on your location; there’s no excuse not to catch every second of what promises to be an electrifying game!
