Devils Set to Conquer the Sharks at SAP Center

As the New Jersey Devils prepare to face off against the San Jose Sharks at the SAP Center, fans are buzzing with anticipation. The Devils, coming off a mixed bag of recent performances, are looking to assert their dominance on enemy ice.

The last outing for the Devils was a nail-biter against the Los Angeles Kings on February 16. Despite an impressive goaltending display that saw them save 100 percent of shots faced and only conceding two goals, they fell short in a 2-1 loss. The powerplay unit managed to convert one out of five opportunities but struggled in faceoff circles with a win percentage of just 43 percent.

However, it's not all doom and gloom for NJ supporters. A previous game on February 14 showcased their offensive prowess as they netted four goals from an astounding 47 shots against Nashville Predators. Their even-strength play was particularly strong; scoring four times indicates that when NJ finds its rhythm, they can be relentless.

The Devils' performance against Seattle Kraken on February 13 further cements this narrative. They secured a victory with three goals from thirty-seven shots and dominated faceoffs with a winning percentage of sixty percent – an area they'll need to excel in again if they're going to take down SJ.

San Jose Sharks will not make it easy though; home ice advantage is real and can't be overlooked. But if recent form is anything to go by, NJ has shown resilience and adaptability that could very well tip the scales in their favor come game night.

Fans should expect an intense battle where every shift counts and special teams could very well decide the outcome. The powerplay efficiency seen against Seattle must carry over, while improvements in faceoff percentages will be crucial for maintaining control of the game.

Looking ahead at this matchup scheduled for February 28 at SAP Center at San Jose starting at 7:30 PM PST (10:30 PM EST), fans can catch all the action live on ESPN+ nationally or tune into NBCS-CA channel 698 or MSGSN channel 635 depending on their location for local broadcasts. With both teams eager to claim victory, it promises to be an electrifying encounter not to be missed!
