Devils Derailed by Bruins' Onslaught at Prudential Center

The New Jersey Devils, with a record of 41-30-7, faced off against the Boston Bruins, who came into the game with a 32-38-9 record. Despite a valiant effort, the Devils were overcome by the Bruins with a final score of 7-2.

Game Highlights


The game was intense from the start as the Boston Bruins took an early lead in the first period and continued their dominance throughout, scoring two goals in each of the first two periods and adding three more in the third. The New Jersey Devils managed to find the back of the net twice during the second period but couldn't sustain their momentum or overcome Boston's aggressive play.


The Bruins showcased their offensive strength by netting seven goals from just 25 shots, marking an impressive shooting percentage of 28 percent. Their performance was bolstered by stellar goaltending that saved 19 out of 21 shots on goal. David Pastrnak led Boston's charge with his outstanding play on ice, earning him recognition as one of the game's top stars alongside teammates Morgan Geekie and Jakub Lauko.

On New Jersey's side, despite being outplayed overall, there were notable individual performances. Stefan Noesen and Timo Meier each scored once for their team. Daniel Sprong and Erik Haula contributed with one assist each. Defensively, Jacob Markstrom faced a barrage of shots from Boston’s offense; he managed to save 16 out of an overwhelming total of 23 even-strength shots against him.
