The third period proved decisive for New Jersey as they unleashed an offensive surge that left Edmonton scrambling. Jesper Bratt and Connor Brown each found opportunities to score crucial goals during this segment of play. Bratt’s precision shooting was particularly noteworthy as he capitalized on one of his few attempts against Edmonton’s goaltender.

Despite efforts from Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl leading Edmonton's charge with two late goals, it wasn't enough to overcome New Jersey’s advantage established earlier in this final stretch.
