Third Period


The final period belonged entirely to New Jersey as they mounted an impressive comeback. Luke Hughes played a pivotal role by contributing both offensively and defensively; his efforts earned him recognition as one of three stars of this matchup alongside teammate Jake Allen who recorded an impressive save percentage of 100 percent during shorthanded situations.


In addition to Hughes’ standout performance from defenseman position which included scoring once himself - another powerplay opportunity allowed them capitalize further increasing lead ultimately sealing fate against home crowd favorites known affectionately around league simply "Jackets."
