First Period


The game began with promise for the Islanders as Anders Lee found the back of the net during a power play opportunity. Assisted by Tony DeAngelo and Jonathan Drouin, this goal showcased their ability to capitalize on special teams. However, this was quickly overshadowed by three goals from Anaheim's Cutter Gauthier and Jacob Trouba that put them ahead.


Second Period


In a scoreless second period, both teams struggled to break through defensively. The Isles managed several attempts but were unable to convert any into goals despite outshooting their opponents significantly with 43 shots on goal throughout the match.

Third Period


The final period saw further dominance from Anaheim as they added two more goals courtesy of Ville Husso's stellar performance between pipes for Ducks who saved all but one shot he faced throughout entire match-up making him star player night alongside teammates Gauthier & Trouba contributing offensively too!


Despite strong efforts from key players like Mathew Barzal and Bo Horvat who combined multiple shots each without success; ultimately fell short against formidable opposition leaving fans eagerly anticipating next encounter hoping better outcome future games ahead!
