New York Rangers Edged Out in Overtime at Climate Pledge Arena by Seattle Kraken

The game saw an even distribution of physicality with the New York Rangers registering 24 hits compared to the Kraken's 22. The offensive efforts for the New York Rangers were backed by a total shot count of 30 throughout the game, translating into a shooting percentage of seven percent. However, it was not just about scoring; defensively they blocked nine shots and took away possession six times from their opponents.

Faceoffs were another battleground where both teams fought hard; however, despite winning 22 faceoffs, it wasn't enough for dominance as they lost out on more occasions with a faceoff win percentage standing at forty-five percent.


Goaltending played an integral role in keeping both teams within reach throughout regulation time and into overtime. The New York Rangers' goaltender made twenty-nine saves with a save percentage rounding up to ninety-one percent but ultimately conceded three goals including one during overtime which sealed their fate.


On the other side of ice, Seattle's performance was marked by resilience especially when playing shorthanded; successfully defending all seven shots faced during Ranger powerplays which contributed significantly to their victory along with twenty-two saves made at even strength ensuring no goals were conceded during regular play.
