Can the New York Rangers Tame the Coyotes at Mullett Arena?

As the New York Rangers prepare to face off against the Arizona Coyotes, fans are buzzing with anticipation. The upcoming clash at Mullett Arena promises to be a spectacle, and all eyes are on whether the Rangers can carry their momentum forward.

The Rangers have been on a rollercoaster ride lately. Their recent victory over the Islanders on March 17th showcased their resilience, bouncing back from a scoreless first period to secure a 5-2 win. This game was an exhibition of their even-strength prowess, as they netted five goals and dominated with a shooting percentage of 16 percent. Their goaltending was also impeccable, saving 25 out of 27 shots.

However, consistency has been an issue for NYR this season. Just one day prior to their triumph in New York City, they suffered a defeat at PPG Paints Arena against Pittsburgh Penguins despite scoring seven goals – an impressive offensive display overshadowed by defensive lapses.

Against Tampa Bay Lightning on March 14th, NYR's performance dipped in the third period where they conceded four goals leading to a loss. This inconsistency could be worrisome as they head into Arizona; however, it also shows that when NYR is firing on all cylinders, they can be unstoppable.

The Coyotes should not be underestimated though – despite being underdogs in this matchup. They will look to exploit any cracks in NYR's armor and capitalize on opportunities just like Lightning did during that fateful third period.

For NYR fans looking for hope ahead of this game: take solace in your team’s ability to bounce back and deliver high-scoring performances after setbacks. The key will be maintaining focus throughout all three periods and ensuring that goaltending remains sharp as it has been during wins.

Looking ahead to March 30th at Mullett Arena in Tempe (9:00 MST), fans can catch all the action live through ESPN+ online or tune into MSG or SCRIPPS for television coverage. Will we witness another resilient comeback from New York Rangers or will Arizona Coyotes manage an upset? Only time will tell but one thing is certain – it’s going to be one thrilling encounter!
