On defense and between the pipes, Igor Shesterkin had a challenging night facing 17 shots from Toronto and managing to save 14. His efforts kept New York within striking distance throughout the contest.

The Maple Leafs capitalized on their powerplay opportunities by scoring once out of four chances which proved crucial in their victory over New York. Their goaltender Anthony Stolarz played an instrumental role by stopping 33 out of 35 shots aimed at him, showcasing why goaltending was a significant difference-maker in this matchup.

Matthew Knies emerged as one of Toronto's standout performers contributing significantly to their win with his performance on ice earning him one of the game stars alongside Stolarz and Zibanejad from New York.
