The Senators showed resilience throughout the game, delivering 32 hits and blocking an impressive number of attempts with 19 blocked shots. Their faceoff performance was notable as well, winning more than half at 54.9 percent which translated into winning 28 out of 51 faceoffs. However, discipline was an issue for the team as they incurred penalties totaling to ten instances and spending a significant amount of time—26 minutes—in penalty situations.

One area where the Senators excelled was in takeaways; they managed to strip their opponents of possession on 15 occasions which is indicative of their aggressive defensive play. On special teams though, Ottawa struggled to capitalize on powerplay opportunities despite having three chances; they did not convert any into goals.

On defense, goaltending for Ottawa was kept busy throughout the night with their goalie facing a total of 34 shots and making 30 saves which resulted in an .882 save percentage. Unfortunately for Ottawa fans, this effort wasn't enough to secure victory as four pucks found their way past him into the net.

The home team Tampa Bay Lightning demonstrated strong offensive play by scoring four goals from their total shot count of 34 and maintained control over puck possession evidenced by fewer giveaways than Ottawa at eight instances. Their powerplay unit proved effective by scoring once out of eight opportunities while also maintaining solid defense with equal hits delivered as compared to Ottawa's count.

Looking ahead after this tough loss on away ice, fans can catch the next game featuring The Ottawa Senators when they return home to Canadian Tire Centre in Ontario against Vegas Golden Knights scheduled for November third at eleven o'clock Eastern Time. This encounter will be broadcasted across various networks including ESPN+ online nationally and TSN5 internationally for television viewership among others ensuring fans won't miss any action from The Senators' upcoming challenge.
