Senators Dominate Coyotes at Canadian Tire Centre in High-Scoring Affair

The Ottawa Senators, with a resounding 6-2 victory over the Arizona Coyotes, have bolstered their record to an impressive 3-1. The Coyotes, on the other hand, faced another setback and now stand at 1-3. The final score reflected the Senators' dominance throughout the game.

At the Canadian Tire Centre, fans of the Ottawa Senators witnessed a commanding performance as their team took control early on. The home team opened up with two goals in the first period and added one more in the second to establish a solid lead. By the third period, they had tripled their advantage with three additional goals.

The Senators showcased an efficient offensive display by converting six of their thirty-two shots into goals for an impressive shooting percentage of nineteen percent. Their powerplay unit capitalized once during four opportunities while maintaining strong defensive play during shorthanded situations.

Goaltending was another area where Ottawa excelled; their netminder saved twenty out of twenty-two shots for a save percentage of ninety-one percent. This defensive prowess was complemented by twenty-eight hits delivered and eleven blocked shots that helped maintain their lead throughout.

In contrast, despite putting up twenty-four hits themselves and blocking fourteen shots, Arizona's efforts were not enough to turn around their fortunes. Their goaltender faced thirty-two shots but managed only twenty-six saves which resulted in a save percentage just above eighty-one percent.

The Senators also demonstrated superiority in faceoffs winning sixty-three percent compared to Arizona's thirty-eight percent win rate which allowed them greater control over puck possession and game flow.

As fans look ahead, they can anticipate seeing Ottawa back in action at home against Dallas Stars at Canadian Tire Centre on October 24th at 7:00 PM Eastern Time. Fans can catch this matchup live on ESPN+, TSN5 for international viewers or BSSW channel 676 for away supporters as well as RDS for additional international coverage.
