Clash at Canadian Tire Centre: Ottawa Senators Face Off Against Nashville Predators

As the Ottawa Senators gear up to host the Nashville Predators at the Canadian Tire Centre, fans are eager to see if their team can continue their recent performance trends. The Senators have shown a mixed bag of results in their last few outings, with a thrilling overtime win against the Pittsburgh Penguins, followed by a loss to the Colorado Avalanche and another defeat at the hands of the Arizona Coyotes.

In their victory over Pittsburgh, Ottawa displayed resilience and an ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities, boasting a shooting percentage of 19 percent. However, they struggled in faceoff wins with only 41 percent success rate. Their goaltending was solid with an 88 percent save rate which contributed significantly to their win.

The subsequent games saw Ottawa's performance dip slightly. Against Colorado, despite taking more shots (45 compared to Colorado's 39), they lost by two points and had a lower save percentage at around 85 percent. The faceoff win percentage also remained low at approximately 44 percent.

Against Arizona Coyotes in Tempe, while they managed fewer shots on goal (22), they maintained a decent shooting percentage of around 14 percent but ultimately fell short by one point. Their goaltending showed improvement from the previous game with an approximate save rate of 90 percent but still resulted in a loss.

Fans should expect Ottawa Senators to focus on improving faceoffs and maintaining strong goaltending as key factors for success against Nashville Predators. With home-ice advantage and fan support at Canadian Tire Centre, it could provide them with an extra boost needed for victory.

The upcoming game is scheduled for January 30th and will be available for fans to watch on ESPN+ nationally or BSSO channel number 646-1 locally via satellite or internet broadcast networks.
