In a display of offensive efficiency, the Senators capitalized on their opportunities by netting four goals from an equal number of shots on target. The first period saw them take a commanding lead with two goals that set the tone for the rest of the game. Their momentum continued into the second period with another goal added to their tally. By maintaining their lead into the third period and adding one more goal to seal their victory, they demonstrated resilience and focus.

The Senators' goaltender deserves special mention for an impeccable performance between the pipes, saving all but two of twenty-five shots faced throughout sixty minutes on ice. This defensive solidity was crucial in keeping Tampa Bay at bay.

On offense, Ottawa's shooting percentage stood at fourteen percent as they matched their total shot count and goal count at twenty-eight each. Their winning goal proved pivotal in cementing their dominance over Tampa Bay during this encounter.

While both teams had an equal number of faceoffs at sixty-six each, it was Ottawa's ability to win critical puck possessions that contributed significantly to their success; they won thirty-two faceoffs overall. Despite giving away only two penalties compared to Tampa Bay's three and blocking more shots (twenty-six against twenty-one), it was Ottawa's even-strength play that truly shone through as all four goals were scored during such situations.

Tampa Bay did not go down without a fight; they managed to hit back twice but fell short despite having more hits (thirty-three) than Ottawa (twenty-eight). They also had higher penalty minutes totaling nine against Ottawa’s seven but failed to convert any powerplay opportunities due to lack of chances.

Looking ahead for fans eager to follow their team’s progress: The next game for the Senators will be against Florida Panthers at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise on February 21st.
