Senators Set to Clash with Ducks at Honda Center: A Battle for Redemption

As the Ottawa Senators gear up to face the Anaheim Ducks at the Honda Center, fans are buzzing with anticipation. The Senators have been showing a mix of resilience and vulnerability in their recent outings, which sets the stage for an intriguing matchup on March 7th.

The Senators' performance against the Vegas Golden Knights on February 25th was a testament to their tenacity. Despite being out-hit and giving away more penalties, they managed to secure a win through sheer determination and skillful play during shootouts. Their ability to capitalize on powerplays was evident as they scored one goal from three opportunities, showcasing a 67 percent efficiency rate.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing for the Senators. In their game against the Dallas Stars on February 23rd, while they did manage an impressive victory with four goals scored and only one conceded, there were areas that needed improvement. The team's shooting percentage stood at 13 percent – a figure that could be crucial in tight games where every shot counts.

The most concerning aspect of recent performances has been their consistency in faceoff wins but also giveaways. Against both Vegas and Dallas, Ottawa won over 60 percent of faceoffs but also gave away possession too often – something that can't be afforded against Anaheim.

Looking at Anaheim's recent form provides some hope for Ottawa fans; however, complacency would be ill-advised. The Ducks have had their struggles this season but are always capable of pulling off surprises in front of their home crowd.

OTT's goaltending has been solid with save percentages hitting perfect marks recently; this reliability between the pipes will need to continue if they're going to come out on top against ANA.

In conclusion, while there are areas where OTT needs tightening up – particularly in reducing giveaways – there is enough evidence from previous games that if they play to their strengths such as powerplay opportunities and maintaining strong goaltending performances, victory is within reach.

Fans eager not to miss any action from what promises to be an exciting encounter can tune into ESPN+ online or BSW TV network when puck drops at Honda Center on March 7th at 10:00 PM Eastern Time (7:00 PM local time).
