Ottawa Senators Set Sights on Taming New York Rangers at Iconic Madison Square Garden

As the Ottawa Senators gear up for their next challenge against the New York Rangers, fans are buzzing with anticipation. The Senators have been a force to reckon with, and their recent performances suggest they're not slowing down anytime soon.

The last time the Senators took to the ice, they showcased a shorthanded strength that left their opponents scrambling. On March 31st against the Winnipeg Jets, despite being outnumbered on the ice, they managed to keep their cool and secure a 3-2 victory. Their goaltender was nothing short of spectacular, saving every shot he faced while shorthanded and boasting an overall save percentage of 100 percent.

Their offense wasn't far behind either. With an impressive shooting percentage of 11 percent and a powerplay goal out of five opportunities in that game, it's clear that when given the chance, Ottawa knows how to capitalize.

But it's not just about one game. Looking back at March 28th against the Chicago Blackhawks at Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa – where they won with a scoreline reflecting their dominance – we saw another example of how lethal this team can be. They were relentless in attack with two goals scored even-strength and maintained control throughout by winning over 60 percent of faceoffs.

However, what truly stands out is Ottawa's performance on March 27th against Buffalo Sabres where they triumphed with six goals to two. That day saw them hit an astounding shooting percentage of 14 percent from an aggressive forty-two shots on goal – proving that when OTT gets going, there’s hardly any stopping them.

The Rangers will certainly pose a threat; there’s no denying their capabilities or home advantage at Madison Square Garden. But if recent history has taught us anything about this resilient Senators squad, it’s that they thrive under pressure and rise to challenges.

OTT fans should feel confident as their team heads into enemy territory; armed with tactical prowess both offensively and defensively demonstrated in past games - particularly through special teams' play which could prove pivotal once again.

As April 15th approaches swiftly - mark your calendars for what promises to be an electrifying encounter starting at 7:30 PM ET. Fans can catch all the action live from New York as ESPN+ streams online while MSG broadcasts traditionally over TV waves – ensuring you won’t miss any part of this thrilling matchup between Ottawa Senators and New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden.
