First Period


The first period saw the Senators taking control early on, scoring four goals and setting a strong foundation for their victory. Third Period


Entering into the third period with a comfortable lead, Ottawa focused on maintaining their advantage while keeping Columbus at bay. A final goal by Claude Giroux sealed their triumph over CBJ as they effectively shut down any comeback attempts from their opponents. Despite being outshot in this final stretch of playtime (26 shots against), Ullmark’s stellar saves ensured that only three goals were conceded overall.
