First Period

The opening period saw both teams testing each other's defenses but only resulted in one goal for the Sens. Tim Stutzle showcased his skill by scoring early on, setting the tone for what would be a productive night for him and his teammates. The Hawks struggled to find their rhythm and ended the period without any goals.

Second Period

The second period was where things heated up significantly. The Sens added two more goals to their tally, thanks to Fabian Zetterlund's impressive performance that included one goal and an assist. However, this period also marked a resurgence from the Hawks as they netted three goals themselves, leveling up with Ottawa momentarily before David Perron put Ottawa back ahead with his first goal of two.

Third Period

In the final stretch, both teams continued their offensive efforts but it was Ottawa who pulled away decisively. Brady Tkachuk found his groove by scoring twice in this period alone while David Perron sealed his standout performance with another goal. Despite Ilya Mikheyev's effort for Chicago adding one more point on their side during this frame, it wasn't enough to overcome Ottawa’s lead.

Tim Stutzle earned recognition as one of the stars of this match due to his pivotal role throughout all periods contributing significantly towards securing victory for Sens alongside David Perron whose contribution cannot be overlooked either given how crucial those points were especially during tight moments like these when every shot counts!
