In a closely fought battle at the Wells Fargo Center, the Philadelphia Flyers clinched a hard-fought victory over the Boston Bruins. The game was marked by intense competition and high energy from both sides. The Flyers' goaltender had an exceptional night between the pipes, saving 31 of 32 shots for a save percentage of about 97 percent. This performance was crucial in securing the win for Philadelphia.

The Flyers' offense managed to fire off 29 shots on goal throughout the game, converting two into scores which proved to be just enough to edge out their opponents. Their powerplay unit capitalized once during one of their five opportunities when they had more players on ice due to penalties by Boston. This powerplay goal contributed significantly to their overall success.

On defense, Philadelphia showed resilience and discipline as they successfully killed all penalties without conceding any goals while shorthanded. They also blocked an impressive number of shots from Boston, totaling thirteen blocks that helped protect their lead and ultimately secure victory.

The visiting team put up a strong fight as well; despite only scoring once from thirty-two shots taken – yielding them a shooting percentage of around three percent – they maintained pressure throughout all periods. Their faceoff win percentage stood at approximately fifty-seven percent which gave them slight control over puck possession during faceoffs but wasn't enough for them to dominate play or scoreboard.
