Flyers Face Off Against Predators at Bridgestone Arena in Close Contest

In a closely contested match at the Bridgestone Arena, the Philadelphia Flyers faced off against the Nashville Predators. The Flyers entered the game with a record of 10-14-5, while their opponents stood at 18-10-1. Despite a hard-fought battle, the final score read 3-2 in favor of the home team.

The Philadelphia Flyers showed resilience throughout the game. They managed to fire off an impressive total of 39 shots on goal but were only able to convert two into scores. The team's shooting percentage was recorded at five percent for this encounter. On defense, they blocked a total of 23 shots and delivered 19 hits during play.

Philadelphia's goaltender had a busy night between the pipes with a save percentage standing at eighty-six percent after stopping 19 out of 22 shots directed his way. However, it was not enough to secure victory as three slipped past him over regulation time and overtime.

Special teams played an active role for both sides; however, neither team could capitalize on their powerplay opportunities despite multiple chances – four for Philadelphia and three for Nashville – leaving both squads without powerplay goals in this matchup.

Faceoffs were another area where Philadelphia struggled slightly; they won only forty-four percent of faceoffs taken throughout the game. This aspect proved crucial as possession often dictates pace and opportunity within hockey games.

On offense, assists were distributed among four players from Philadelphia who worked together to support their teammates in scoring efforts. Unfortunately, these efforts did not translate into enough goals to take home victory from Nashville soil.

Turning attention towards their opponents, Nashville capitalized on fewer opportunities with higher efficiency – converting three out of just twenty-two shots into goals which gave them an advantageous thirteen percent shooting percentage by game's end. Their winning goal came during overtime play which sealed their win over Philadelphia after regular time ended tied up.

The Predators also edged out in physicality with twenty-seven hits compared to nineteen from Philly and took control over faceoff wins by securing fifty-six percent success rate in draws taken across all periods including overtime.

As fans look ahead following this tough loss on away ice, they can mark their calendars for when The Philadelphia Flyers will return home to Wells Fargo Center where they will host Washington Capitals on December fifteen at seven PM Eastern Time (ET).
