Can the Philadelphia Flyers Ride Their Momentum into St. Louis?

The Philadelphia Flyers are soaring high after a string of impressive performances, and their next challenge is a face-off against the St. Louis Blues at the Enterprise Center. The upcoming game promises to be an intriguing battle, with both teams eager to assert their dominance on the ice.

In their most recent outing on January 14, the Flyers displayed a masterclass in defensive play against the Winnipeg Jets. The team's shorthanded strength was evident as they managed to keep their net untouched throughout all three periods, culminating in a 2-0 victory. The goaltending was nothing short of spectacular, boasting a perfect save percentage and denying all 35 shots faced.

The offensive side wasn't left behind either; despite only converting 6 percent of their shots into goals, they were relentless in attack with 36 shots on goal. This aggressive approach could spell trouble for any opponent, including the Blues who will have to be wary of this firepower.

Looking back at another recent game on January 13 against Minnesota Wild shows that when pushed into overtime, the Flyers can still find ways to win. They emerged victorious with a scoreline of 4-3 despite being matched closely in hits and faceoffs won by Minnesota Wild.

However, it's not just about defense for this team; powerplay opportunities were capitalized upon effectively during these games as well – something that could again prove pivotal against St. Louis.

On the other side of the rink stand the Blues who will certainly not make it easy for Philadelphia. They'll need to be particularly cautious about giving away powerplays given that Philly has shown proficiency in exploiting such situations.

As we look ahead to January 16 at Enterprise Center where these two teams will clash head-on under bright lights and roaring fans – one thing is certain: if Philadelphia maintains its current form and focus from previous games like those played on January 11th through January 14th – they have every chance of leaving Missouri with another win tucked under their belts.

Flyers fans should mark their calendars for this exciting matchup scheduled at 8:00 PM Eastern Time (7:00 PM Central Time). You can catch all action live from Enterprise Center via ESPN+ nationally or tune into NBCS-PH if you're following away from home or BSMW channel number 671 for local coverage in St. Louis area.
