Flyers Face Canadiens: Will Philadelphia's Resilience Prevail in Montreal?

As the Philadelphia Flyers gear up for their next battle against the Montreal Canadiens at Bell Centre, fans are eager to see if their team can maintain the resilience they've shown in recent games. The Flyers' performance has been a rollercoaster ride, but there's reason to believe that they could come out on top in this upcoming matchup.

In their last game on March 17 against the Boston Bruins, despite a valiant effort and an impressive 35 hits, the Flyers fell short with a 5-6 loss. They managed to rack up five goals and 29 shots, showcasing their offensive capabilities. However, goaltending proved to be less effective as they conceded six goals from 30 shots.

The game before that was also a tough one for the Flyers; facing off against the Toronto Maple Leafs on March 14 at Wells Fargo Center ended in a disappointing 2-6 defeat. The Flyers had seven percent shooting accuracy and won only 44 percent of faceoffs – numbers that will need improvement if they hope to overcome Montreal.

However, looking back at their performance on March 12 against the San Jose Sharks gives fans some hope. The Flyers emerged victorious with three goals from an impressive total of 41 shots. Their defensive play was strong too; they blocked twelve shots and delivered twenty-eight hits during gameplay.

The key takeaway from these past performances is that when Philadelphia focuses on aggressive offense combined with solid defense and goaltending, they can dominate games. Against Montreal Canadiens – who have had their own struggles this season – it's crucial for PHI to capitalize early and maintain pressure throughout all three periods.

For PHI fans watching closely, keep an eye out for how well the team handles powerplays and penalty kills as these could be decisive factors in determining who claims victory at Bell Centre.

The scheduled game between Philadelphia Flyers and Montreal Canadiens is set for March 28th at Bell Centre in Montreal. Fans can catch all of the action live on ESPN+ via internet streaming or tune into NBCS-PH on TV starting at 7:00 PM ET.
