First Period

The opening period was tightly contested with both teams struggling to find the back of the net initially. However, it was Owen Tippett who broke through for the Broad Street Bullies with an even-strength goal. This early lead set the tone for a competitive matchup between these two rivals.

Second Period

In the second period, both teams found their rhythm offensively. The Caps managed to equalize with Anthony Beauvillier scoring from close range. Yet, Jamie Drysdale responded swiftly for Philly by netting a powerplay goal that put them back in front.
