The Penguins' last game against the Seattle Kraken on March 1st was a tough one. Despite firing 33 shots on goal, they failed to convert any into points, resulting in a shutout loss. The powerplay opportunities were squandered; all seven shots during man-advantages missed their mark. The team's penalty kill was effective though, with four saves out of four shorthanded situations.

However, looking back at their February 28th game against the Vancouver Canucks provides a more positive perspective. The Penguins showed resilience and offensive prowess by overcoming a deficit to win in overtime with a final score of 4-3. They managed an impressive shooting percentage of 10 percent from their total of 40 shots and capitalized once out of five powerplay chances.

The most telling performance came from their February 25th victory over the Philadelphia Flyers where they scored seven goals from just 32 shots – an exceptional shooting percentage of 22 percent. Their powerplay was particularly lethal that night, scoring twice in four opportunities.

While these past games show fluctuating results for Pittsburgh, it's clear that when they find their rhythm offensively, they can be formidable opponents. Their ability to bounce back after being shut out speaks volumes about their tenacity and skill level.

On the other side of the ice stand the Senators who will have home-ice advantage but will need more than just supportive fans to fend off Pittsburgh’s potential offensive onslaught. The Senators must be wary not only of Pittsburgh’s ability to rebound after losses but also its proven capacity for high-scoring games.

Looking ahead to March 12th's matchup between PIT and OTT – it is crucial for Pittsburgh to capitalize on powerplays and maintain strong goaltending as seen in previous outings if they wish to secure victory away from home.

Fans should mark their calendars for this exciting encounter scheduled at Canadian Tire Centre on March 12th at 7:00 PM EST (6:00 PM CST).
