First Period

Second Period

The Sabres struggled to capitalize on their powerplay opportunities despite having five chances throughout the game. Their lone bright spot came from Tage Thompson's efforts as he managed to score one of Buffalo's two goals during even strength play.


Third Period


In a final push during the third period, both teams exchanged blows with each adding a goal apiece. However, it was Pittsburgh’s shorthanded goal that truly highlighted their tenacity and ability to seize momentum shifts effectively.

The Penguins' defense remained steadfast against Buffalo’s attempts to close in on them further; Connor Clifton contributed significantly by blocking shots and maintaining pressure on opposing forwards throughout all three periods.
