The game was characterized by an intense defensive effort from both teams. The San Jose Sharks put up a total of 21 shots on goal but couldn't capitalize on any of their attempts. Despite this offensive push, their shooting percentage remained at zero throughout the game. On defense, they blocked an impressive number of shots with 16 blocks and delivered a solid physical performance with 21 hits.

The goaltending for the Sharks was notably strong; their goalie saved 23 out of 24 shots faced, boasting a save percentage of approximately 96 percent. However, it wasn't enough to secure victory as one puck slipped through during even-strength play in the second period — which ultimately stood as the game-winning goal for Arizona.

Arizona's only goal came amidst an evenly matched contest where they managed to outshoot San Jose with a total of 24 shots on goal and maintained better control over faceoffs with a win percentage close to 63 percent. Their disciplined play was evident as they did not incur any penalties throughout all three periods.

Special teams did not factor into scoring for either side; both teams had no powerplay goals despite four opportunities for Arizona and none for San Jose. The penalty kill units were effective — particularly noteworthy was that San Jose successfully defended all six shorthanded situations without conceding any goals.

Looking ahead, fans can catch the next game featuring the San Jose Sharks as they visit Ball Arena to face off against Colorado Avalanche on December 17th at around eight o'clock in Denver time zone. This matchup will be available for viewing across various networks including ALT channel six hundred eighty-one and NBCS-CA channel six hundred ninety-eight or online via ESPN+.
