San Jose Sharks to Chart New Course Against Minnesota Wild: Who Will Prevail?

As the San Jose Sharks prepare to face off against the Minnesota Wild at the Xcel Energy Center, fans are eager to see if their team can shift the recent tide. The Sharks' performance in their last three games has been a mix of resilience and struggle. Despite a strong start with two goals in the first period against Chicago, they couldn't maintain momentum, ultimately falling with a -16 plus-minus rating and only 45 percent faceoff wins.

The encounter with Columbus showed improvement in shots taken, racking up 41 attempts on goal but still suffering from inefficiency with a mere five percent shooting percentage. Faceoffs remained an issue as well, winning only 45 percent of them. The goaltending was solid with a save percentage rounding up to 100 percent; however, it wasn't enough to secure victory.

Against Pittsburgh, while managing three goals and increasing physicality with 25 hits, defensive lapses led to another loss marked by a -16 plus-minus rating. The powerplay opportunities were not capitalized upon either.

The upcoming game presents an opportunity for redemption for the Sharks as they navigate through these challenges. Their ability to improve on faceoffs and capitalize on scoring chances will be critical against the Wild's defense.

Fans can catch this thrilling matchup live on ESPN+ or NBCS-CA for TV viewers and BSN for local broadcast on March 28th at 7:00 PM CT at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, MN.
